Build a single-line diagram

Use the SLD editor to create and maintain the one-line diagram for a project.

Canvas basics

• Pan the canvas to move around the diagram.
• Zoom in for detail work and out for layout.

Add components

1. Drag a component from the component toolbar at the bottom of the canvas and drop it on the

canvas. Dropped close to another component, it connects automatically.

1. Or select a component and click a toolbar button. EKX places the new component above or below

it and connects them.

1. Select a component to edit its properties in the edit panel.

Connect components

1. Drag from a component's connection handle.
2. Drop on a compatible component.
3. Repeat until the circuit is fully connected.

Arrange and name

• Move components to keep the diagram readable.
• Rename components to match your naming standards.
