Build a single-line diagram

Use the SLD editor to create and maintain the one-line diagram for a project.

Canvas basics

• Pan the canvas to move around the diagram.
• Zoom in for detail work and out for layout.
• Use the grid and snap options if you want consistent spacing.

Add components

1. Select a component type from the palette.
2. Click or drag onto the canvas to place it.
3. Select the component to edit its properties in the side panel.

Connect components

1. Select a component and choose a connection handle.
2. Drag the connection to a compatible component.
3. Repeat until the circuit is fully connected.

Arrange and name

• Move components to keep the diagram readable.
• Rename components to match your naming standards.
• Group related elements to reflect the physical system.
