Run calculations

ekx can run engineering calculations on your diagram and display results directly on the canvas.

Prepare the model

• Verify each component has the required electrical properties filled in.
• Ensure all components are connected to the correct buses.
• Confirm the project defaults match your study requirements.

Run a study

1. In the SLD editor header, click Short Circuit, Load Flow, or Arc Flash.
2. Wait for results to appear on the diagram. A badge under the button shows the study is running.

The study runs on the scenario selected in the header.

Review results

• Results appear as annotations on the components they apply to.
• If values look off, revisit component data and rerun the study.
