Getting started
This guide walks you through the first steps so you can build a diagram and see results quickly.
Welcome project
When you first sign in, ekx creates a sample project with a pre-built diagram showing a basic electrical system: utility feed, main breaker, transformer, and load bus. Use this project to explore the interface and see how components connect. You can modify or delete it like any other project.
Create your first project
- Sign in to your ekx account.
- From the projects area, select New project.
- Name the project and choose any defaults your team requires (code book, visibility, and so on).
Open the SLD editor
- Open the project you just created.
- Select Open SLD Editor to launch the canvas.
- Confirm the canvas loads with an empty diagram and a component palette.
Add your first components
- Drag a bus onto the canvas.
- Drag a transformer or load and place it near the bus.
- Use the connection tool or auto-connect to link the components.
Save and share
- Changes are stored in the project as you work.
- Invite collaborators from the project or organization settings if you need additional editors.
